Golf Simulator Prices in 2025: Deals, Financing, and Costs

The golf sim space is wild right now, and it can feel pretty intimidating when you're just getting started. So many choices, and everyone swears theirs is the best. Your gut says a $500 monitor can’t possibly match a $50,000 setup claiming “tour-level accuracy”… but every ad makes you second-guess. Camera or radar? Overhead or ground-based? Stickers or no stickers? And that’s just launch monitors—screens, mats, PCs, and projectors are their own kind of crazy. (I still don’t get why projectors are so hard.)
Three years ago, I was right there—jumped in blind with Neighborhood National (NN). I knew nothing about simulators apart from what I saw tour pros using. Just had an idea to make swinging a club easier for everyone, and figured I’d learn as I went.
The good news? It’s not as wild as it seems.
Here’s what I’ve picked up, with help from our Club Pros (hosts) who’ve started their own clubs too. We’ll dig into tech differences another time—for now, let’s sort out prices and the main tiers you’ll see.
Spoiler: your brain’s right—$500 and $50,000 aren’t the same.
Pricing: 3 Basic Buckets
Here’s how prices look in 2025—rough but real:
• Under $1,000 — Budget Friendly
Think Rapsodo MLM2PRO or Garmin R10, maybe a few phone apps coming up. To stay under $1K, you're probably skipping a screen and projector—just numbers on your phone or tablet to get you started. Great if you’re starting from zero. Fast swings might not be perfect, short chips or putting probably won’t work well. Still, for the money, it’s a solid first step.
• $1,000–$5,000 — Mid-Tier
SkyTrak’s the big one—the OG version is $1K, SkyTrak+ is over $2K. Add a screen and enclosure ($500–$1K if you’re scrappy), plus a PC and projector ($1K–$1.5K depending on quality). Definitely a step up from budget—but you may still see some misses, especially on short shots or high-speed swings.
• $5,000+ — High-End
At $5K–$10K, you can DIY a setup that handles almost everything. The Bushnell Launch Pro starts around $3K (plus $500/year subscription). Add a screen and enclosure ($1K–$2K), PC and projector ($2K), and a good mat ($500+). This gets you accuracy across every club, every shot—driver to putter.
At $10K+ you can go with a high-end turnkey option or start working with an expert to customize everything. The Foresight GC3 (about $7K) is the same hardware as the Launch Pro, just no subscription. Overhead options open up—Uneekor Eye XO is hugely popular at $8K. GCQuad is still the gold standard at $18K (what we started with at Club No. 1). Then there’s the luxury tier: Trackman, FullSwing, HD Golf, etc. All-in: $50K–$75K. Not more accurate, just more polished. Premium service, premium spaces.
Bottom line: It’s about accuracy (luxury aside). These things are computers. Just like any computer, you get what you pay for. Budget works, but can wobble. High-end provides consistent accuracy, with every swing.
What We Use at Most NN Clubs
Most of our clubs run Bushnell Launch Pro or Foresight GC3. Highly accurate, easy to use, can work in any space, and a great value for ~$70/month.
Why’s It So Crazy?
Indoor golf’s on fire. The National Golf Foundation reported more people playing indoors (32.9M) than outdoors (26.6M) a couple years back—and the gap’s still growing. Big brands, startups—everyone’s jumping in.
More noise, but also more options. The competition means better value at every turn. Our take on the market here if interested →
Deals and Financing
• Deals:
The manufacturers run sales year-round—always “limited time,” but there’s always another one coming. Carl’s Place (carlofet.com) and Indoor Golf Shop (shopindoorgolf.com) are solid DIY sources. Used options save money—just beware the scammers. The golf sim world is full of folks chasing “easy money.”
• Financing:
Most brands offer 3rd-party financing—Affirm or similar. 0% interest is popping up. A $10K setup could run ~$416/month for 24 months with no extra cost. Not bad if cash is tight.
Then there’s NN—maybe the best financing model of all (yeah, we’re biased). Share your sim with a few neighbors. Build a fun club, use it as much as you want, and let the space pay for itself. With 15–20 members averaging 2–3 tee times a day, it can break even in 1–2 years.
At $65–$75/month, our member dues (with an 80/20 split to you) cover the sim, fund upgrades, and then the annual golf trip too.
